Every Smart IP speaker connects to a PoE switch with an ordinary twisted-pair cable. The same cable carries the audio signal (in the AoIP standard), power and control data. The need to run separate loudspeaker wiring and to place amplifiers in a rack cabinet disappears — which means less material, less work and a cleaner installation that is easy to extend with further zones.
